Faculty Mentors

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs supports the University of Notre Dame’s mission of a positive educational and training experience by supporting the faculty who assume the mentorship of a postdoctoral scholar. Several offices and people assist Notre Dame faculty members in a variety of ways with administrative, educational and policy matters.  The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs is one of those offices—providing resources for faculty related to postdoctoral policies, assist in recruiting candidates, and to know where to turn for help when concerned about the well-being of a postdoc.

Mentoring is the core activity that a Notre Dame faculty member assumes when accepting a postdoctoral candidate for a position at the University.  Various recommendations, tools and resources are available to faculty members in order to facilitate an effective experience and manage performance and training.
